Master Lesly has been studying Taekwondo and Hapkido since 1973. He has been teaching for over 20 years, and is currently a 6th Dan black belt. As well as teaching children's and adult classes, he has been a Taekwondo instructor at New York University since 1983 and is the founder and head coach of the NYU Taekwondo Team (the Jidokwan club). He has coached 4 year old white belts at local tournaments and somewhat older black belts at the U.S. National Championships, and is an influential figure in the Ivy Northeast Collegiate Taekwondo League (INCTL).
Master Lesly founded the New York Jidokwan school, at which he taught for many years at the Peridance Center near Union Square Park. He currently teaches classes with Master Mark Williams at 128 Irvington Avenue in South Orange, NJ.
